In this reading, Heiferman explains how photography has positively changed our world. How within just a matter of years, we were able to advance so much technically that the demand for photos/photography has skyrocketed. The ability to take a high quality image is possible everywhere in society today. We see it as a way to record special experiences. The point that Heiferman drives home is that due to the recent societal shift in photography, we may have altered some major intentions in regards to photography. Now, instead of marveling at photographs hanging on a wall, we show interest in the one’s that we can produce ourselves, those that have relevance to us personally.
